Literature, & Etc.

Confusion hath fuck his masterpiece. – William S. Burroughs

I survived another week of November Hell, as Kyle would claim: “Noooooooooooooo!!!!!vember”

I’ve come up with a proposal for my major term paper in Post Structuralist/Structuralist Theory. A Psychoanalytic Freudian Reading of Franz Kafka’s Parables. I’ll let you soak that in for a bit. 20 pages devoted to Kafka & Freud, what the hell am I thinking?

I have been unable to read lengthy works of fiction this past season. All of the novels I’ve enjoyed have been of a length around 150-200 pages. I am guessing most of it is a result of a busy life: work, school, essays, social life, etc, it’s just become that much harder to balance life and throw in a book of pleasure.

I wish I had a bit more to blog about, but my life is fairly dull. Celebrated my birthday this past weekend and that was a lovely time. I have some amazing friends who love me and it’s nice to be around those who support and carry you year round. And I even managed to stay awake past 9p.m. this time, hehe. Thanks for all who helped plan and for making the weekend an amazing time.

  1. Happy Birthday!
I think, with choosing Freud and Kafka, you’ve made it “Nooooo!!!vember” for yourself. I did mine on Barthes, Achebe, and Conrad. But to each his own; gotta do something that draws you in.
