My Superbowl prediction: Steelers over Cardinals 24-21.

I would like the Arizona Cardinals to win simply because I hate Pittsburgh Steelers and all they represent.

As far as advertisements go, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see the American ads that draw so much attention. In Canada we have crap broadcasting that takes over and while the advertising has improved the past few years, it still pales in comparison to the advertising that the States push out. In the grand scheme of things, I’d rather not see a company waste so much money.

NBC is demanding as much as $3 million (U.S.) for a 30-second ad for tonight’s game while CTV is getting $117,000 (Cdn.) for the same. Both have sold out the game, with NBC setting an event record with $206 million (U.S.) in revenue, but as of Friday some pre-game spots remained unsold. – TheStar.com

I’ll watch the game off and on, until then its back to readings I go. Judith Butler, ‘Jackie’ Derrida, and Upton Sinclair. w00t!
