On Ornette Coleman:

If you’ve never listened to Ornette Coleman then you’ve never truly experienced Jazz, at least thats how I view his work. His music defies convention and requires that you only enjoy music and share it with others.

coleman1When asked to play a 12-bar blues, Ornette Coleman fingered his plastic saxophone and played nothing…he’s felt more nothing than you or I know. – Richard Farina

Go out and find a copy of his most recent work Sound Grammar, sure you can find it splattered across youtube and just let the music overtake you. Cheers.
